This event is free, and space is limited to 15 participants so registration is required. Masks are required to be worn at all times, and social distancing will be in effect in the space. The Philadelphia Office of LGBT Affairs celebrates Pride Month with a City Hall flag-raising ceremony, plus more planned.
Pride Month Flag Raising at City Hall and Pride at the Park Admission to the Please Touch Museum continues on a timed-session structure with advanced registration required. Throughout the museum, children can find books centered on self-empowerment and acceptance. There will be Drag Queen Storytimes with Drag Queen Brittany Lynn throughout the day, plus art making and other projects. The Please Touch Museum is hosting a day of activities that celebrate individuality and family. This program is geared towards children ages 5-11, but all families are welcome. Kate in Shakespeare Park (right across Vine Street from the library) for an outdoor rainbow story time with a make-your-own-edible-rainbow food craft at the end, including water ice.
